[001] I've been thinking about it and I guess the reason I've never gotten a permanent account on livejournal is 'cause, as with all things on the internet, I don't think the LJ as it is today, is going to last. We'll probably end up moving in a few years as more innovative websites come out. Though I wish we had a company RIGHT NOW like Google which would connect blogging tools to communities in the way LJ does and just make it even better. Might still be a long time in coming though.

[002] You can now use Photoshop online for free - Photoshop Express went live yesterday! If you're not a PS!ho like me, there are many other alternatives like fixpicture.org to edit photos and images fast.

[003] Started working on some layout colorscheme mockups and will make a poll next week to decide which to use - here are 3 small previews: light, medium and dark

[004] Guys with homophobia may actually also happen to experience homosexual arousal - so basically, there are homophobic males who just happen to be in denial about their own sexuality *sigh*

[005] BTW If you burn CD/DVDs/Blu-rays/HD-DVDs, Giveawayoftheday.com is giving away the full version of Starburn 10 - as good as Roxio and works on Vista! Only downloadable for the next 10 hours and then gone!

3. Pretty! The medium colors are my faves. :) What layout are you basing it on?

4. I will try to remain brief in my comments because I have a whole long story about homophobia, the tension produced by the awareness of the "male gaze," and reactions by homophobic men to gay men but, essentially, I'm completely unsurprised and I hope that this sort of test is repeated with enough people to be statistically significant. Hey, it's no surprise that a shockingly high percentage of loud-mouthed homophobes are revealed to be practicing ho-mo-SEX-uals. No matter what it is they've convinced their wives of.

3. An opal layout I'm working on at [info]dude_you_fugly

4. Homophobic guys always seemed to be a part of the crowd that "doth protest too much" - definitely in the same boat as you XD

You know, installing Photoshop is how I started playing with Opera. It installed it "for me". I need to find out what else it installed - took almost an hour.

Thanks for the links. :)

Oh yeah, Adobe uses Opera right? In it's software? I'd forgotten about that >__>

01) I would never buy a permanent account if only because it would take like six years of regular annual payments to pay off what you spend on one and can I really see myself using LJ in six years? Maybe, maybe not. Luckily, I didn't pay for my permanent account so this is all a moot point.
Something else.

Oh my fucking hell. Just 5 minutes ago I was wondering why Photoshop didn't exist online. I was wondering that because my mom likes to edit pictures/photos and she downloaded Gimp but hated it and she uses Paint all the time.

Just, wow. 5 minutes ago I was wondering and WOW! What a coincidence. (I just told mom about it! And fixpicture.org..hahah thanks!)

There was just something in the German press about PS Express. There is currenty something in the TOS that allows Adobe to use users' public content for whatever purpose. I think they are working on correcting that, but I thought I'd give a heads-up that there may be a copyright issue still.

the specific paragraph and Adobe's response

I admit I haven't used onlne photo editors yet so hopefully by the time I get to them (long after April 10, lol) the situation will have been resolved :) Very interesting to read though - thanks!

[001] Wordpress allows you to do that, it has "linkbacks" and such that kind of tie together groups of sites even though they're not hosted by the same people.

[002] Nothing beats real photoshop, not even the GIMP

[004] I'M NOT GAY!

[005] Poweriso has a free version that usually works for most people, though for the mac you have the built in disk utility which is much cooler than windows will ever be

[001] I kinda want something that has the community feel of lj or social networks but the main purpose is blogging.

[002] Did a recent post with online alternatives to PS Express :) Though I've never used anything but Photoshop since version 6

[004] ?

[005] Cool, though I do like the idea of getting shareware for free and legally and hence the pimping
