It's been a long time coming, but I'm going to be switching my layouts to noveltybox over the holidays.

Right now its an empty community but I figured this way, anyone who wants to see the layouts on their flist and not my posts (which are many and srsly, who needs so much daily spammage?) will be able to friend that instead ^^

People who were feeling overwhelmed can now breathe easy, lolol

So screencaps are at diminishcap and layouts will be at noveltybox. Might also end up moving the icons over so its just my graphics comm, for profiles, layouts etc.

I know I should be doing a media comm too, for all that other stuff, but this takes priority XD

Did my final profile revamp for a while and here are the codes if anyone is interested.

This version uses one of the Christmas images I shared last year.

If you're not using an Expressive/Mixit layout (Edit: or the default component layouts), chances are your entry titles no longer look quite right since Livejournal just changed the layouts to display entry titles as links.

This applies to my shared layouts too. So here's the CSS override needed to change the title link format in the layouts.

Instructions

1. Go to the Custom CSS area
2. Copy/paste the needed code in the "Custom Stylesheet" area, AFTER all the existing code.
3. In the code pasted, replace:
   Y with your color code
   # for font size (remember to add pt or px or % or em after the number)
   % with the font name(s)
4. If you don't want the title in bold, change the 'bold' for font-weight to normal. And if you want the title underlined, for text-decoration change 'none' to underline

Note: Just delete the lines you don't need (such as font-family or font-size) if you only want to change one or two things.

1. If I need a layout for comms or anything, I head over to thefulcrum (layouts by grrliz). Most people are familiar with it, but if you somehow managed to miss it, this is the community to friend (or track or add to feeds, lol). Whether it be smooth sailing or bloggish or expressive, the variety of layouts is second to none.

2. fruitstyle (layouts by wingweaver22) is a favorite out of the newer active layout makers because unlike 99% of them, the comm has layouts on smooth sailing, opal as well as the ubiquitous flexible squares. No sticking to one S2 style.

3. thrashmetal (layouts by scythe) is another favorite - in this case, I see the layout, go "shiny!" and then notice the username. Also does layouts with a number of s2 styles ^_^

4. minty_peach (layouts by miiiintz) is THE flexisquares layout maker IMO. If you've seen her stuff, then you've probably seen what most FS layouts look like. Insanely popular comm.

I have two tiny things left:

1) Coloring the scrollbar for the "Out of Town" Links
2) Replacing the links in comments with images

Apart from that I think everything is working >__<

Did this layout's CSS from scratch - and it's no longer on smooth sailing but rather, on Expressive - and thanks to av8rmike, the theme layer codes are working fine :)

The images for the layout are somewhat more mellow IMO, but it's still almost the same colorscheme. Oh and it makes better use of bigger resolutions for the top menu.

If y'all find anything odd about it, just holler.

Oh, and the coolest thing about the reboot? Apart from comments, I've disabled all the 100x100 icons - so I actually *read* the f-list instead of getting distracted by icons XD

My final two lj revamps for the year: ackonrad and choose

They were pretty quick but hope it clicks. Oh and the image used in the header for the first is Natural hues by ~Swaroop on DeviantART.
