In Hell

Am back in Texas and there is a 50/50 chance that I have food poisoning.

I had diarrhoea for the past two days already and since there was quite a bit of turbulence on the plane, I haven't been able to keep anything down for the past 12 hours. However, I just got back home so maybe a bit of stable ground will set the tummy at ease.

I remember last time I had food poisoning I was worshipping the toilet bowl every few hours and couldn't even get sleep :( DO NOT WANT.

I'm gonna sip some flat soda and nibble on crackers till evening- do y'all know of anything that might stay down if I eat it/drink it?
The standard treatment for GI distress is what they call the BRAT diet - Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. What you want is stuff that's really easy to digest - cooked fruits, simple carbohydrates, no dairy or meat since they take serious work to digest. Jello is good, whether you let it set or just let it cool enough to drink. And the pediatrician swears that only Coke or Sprite work well for settling tummies - Pepsi and 7Up don't work the same way that Coke and Sprite do. *shrug* Go figure.

Personal note - absolutely NO eggs, the texture alone will probably send you flying to the bathroom... and don't eat anything you really like that you'd hate for years if it came back up.

A blanket on the couch watching mindless TV for a while sounds like a good plan, though. Will help with any jet lag, as well as other ickiness.

Hope you feel better soon!
Not 100% sold on this, but: I'm pretty sure anything citrusy would be bad. If I eat oranges or drink lemonade when my stomach's rebelling, it usually hurts for hours afterwards. Might just be a personal issue, though.
Isotonic drinks like 100+ are good. They'll replenish the nutrients you lose, as well as keep you hydrated.

Get well soon!
Aaaw, honey I'm so sorry :( *tight hugs*

Try eating porridge, that might help.
